November Highs + Lows

November, I cannot believe you're leaving us already.  Where does the time go?  I'm not sure if it's the effects of getting older or if it's the new profession that has me feeling this way but more than ever before I've witnessed time passing by way too incredibly quickly.

To be completely honest, this month was a tough one for me.  My grandpa's dementia has his memories fleeting ever so quickly.  And I experienced a loss that I will never be able to explain.  November was a big low.  But still...I see the silver lining and for that I have been very grateful.  My grandpa loses his memories but I still have mine of us together and I will cherish them for as long as I am able.  My low's have brought me closer to my friends + family who continue to lift my spirits in more ways than one.

November Lows

+ My grandpa's declining health
+ Callie's aging
+ Sean being away from home for his month-long business trip

November was a reminder that my time should be guarded fiercely.  That I should be generous and intentional about it.  It also emphasized the importance of memories and that I should always do my best to harbor and preserve every moment in time whether I am capturing them with my camera or with my heart.

The heart, like the mind, has a memory. And in it are kept the most precious keepsakes.
