My Favorite Photobooks

Lately, I've been experiencing a bit of a panic as I see the amount of captured memories (photos + videos) on my hard drive and social media accounts continuing to grow and grrrooww, and grrrrooowwwwwww and grrrrrooooooowwwwwwwww.  Okay, you get the point.  But really, it freaks me out a lot bit because I'm afraid of a digital apocalypse.  And all those years we spent saving proofs of our memories?--GONE.  Nuh-uh.  Not happening.  You're probably saying out loud, "that's what an external drive is for...idiot"  BUT when I say digital apocalypse, I'm talking USBs, External drives, CDs, micro-digital spaces and all. GONE.  So, like I said...nuh uh.

I decided to preemptively prepare for this potential disaster and have been transferring all soft copy photos to hardcover photo books.  Big Plus: they make perfect coffee table books!  So, I wanted to share with all of you some great resources that I particularly appreciate:

Artifact Uprising

My go-to printing website is Artifact Uprising where they offer photo books made with 100% recycled interior pages and premium hardcover linen fabrics.  It's a bit pricier than Shutterfly or Kinko's but you're really paying for what you get here.  Plus they have multiple shade fabric colors to choose from that can add soft accent colors to your living room's interior decor.  I even added my own wedding emblem that I saved from my wedding.

Another option I recently heard about is Parabo.  This free downloadable iphone app will actually access your photos from your Facebook, Instagram, cellphone images and transfer them to hard copy prints.  You can essentially have your own Instagram book!  Similar to Artifact Uprising, Parabo offers simple and modern product options.

Blurb is another great social media printing company that will build an "instant book" with photos from your Instagram and Facebook.  You can choose from hardcover and softcover books, with a wide range of paper quality options.

If I find anymore, I'll be sure to update this post!
