June - The High's & Low's
Everytime I sit to write out my high's and low's, I'm always in shock by how quickly time flies. In one short month, so much has happened. Sometimes I feel like I may be crossing my short-term memories with my longer-term ones--which, embarrassingly, happens quite too often. And this is exactly why I love writing down my monthly recap: to deblur the blurred. So here they are:
+ Signed on with the beautiful Wayfarer's Chapel in Palos Verdes as a recommended wedding photographer
+ Reconnected with old college friends
+ Purchased new wedding photography lighting equipment for indoor receptions
+ An amazing road trip with Sean and my father-in-law to New Mexico for a friend's wedding. It was the most spectacular and glamorous wedding I had ever been to. Santa Fe's art and culture was unlike anything I had ever seen before and I couldn't believe we were still in the U.S.. If any of you visit Santa Fe, I'd highly recommend staying at the La Fonda on the Plaza. Breathtaking!
+ My mom visited us for the first time in 3+ years!
+ Shot my first wedding styled photoshoot after months of collaborating with fellow creatives (I'll be blogging out the details soonest!)
+ Completed my second to last course at Boston University! Marketing Master's Degree...I'm coming for you!
+ Life got busy
+ Too little time with friends
+ June gloom
+ Dealt with the stress of collaborating for the styled wedding photoshoot...it ain't easy.
+ Learning photography lighting technology...Why does it have to be so complicated?!
Now I'm a little embarrassed to read out loud my lows. It's silly + petty and when I compare it to all the opportunities I've been given this month, I realize there really isn't anything to complain about at all. My high moments were fleeting...but gave me more happiness than the month of June could ever offer. It's funny how time always has a way of telling us what really matters.
